“This is the day that the Lord hath made,
Let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
This service of thanksgiving and commemoration of the 15th Anniversary of the Hanover Mediation Centre is a symbol of the service and commitment to the welfare of individuals and the community.
The Hanover Mediation Centre has shown to all of Jamaica, its ability to organize, learn, grow and innovate with modest financial and immense human resources.
The Dispute Resolution Foundation is proud of our association with the Centre, its leaders and members and express our pride in having you as part of our family.
We congratulate you on your faithful stewardship and challenge you in this Jamaica’s Golden Jubilee to work with us and all of Jamaica for justice, peace and development.
The use of mediation, arbitration, Restorative Justice and dialogue must be the hallmarks of Jamaica’s next 50 years.
You the members of the Hanover Mediation Centre and the Hanover community are already poised to make a significant contribution.
I must thank the Lucea United Church for your generous support of our work over many years. Your clergy and other leaders have been active and have made it possible for us to do our work.
My thanks also to the Custodes, magistrates, justices of the peace, police, schools, and business community for their participation in our work together.
We pledge to continue and increase our support for the work in Hanover as we carry out our “One DRF” reform across Jamaica and the Caribbean.
Together, we can fulfill Vision 2030 “Jamaica – place of choice to live, work, raise families and do business.
May you have a happy and prosperous 2012.
